The 2012 Hyundai Elantra has clinched the much coveted title of 2012 North American car of the year and Rick Case Hyundai, the leading Hyundai car dealer in Cleveland, OH is excited to share the information with all our Hyundai customers.

It was a joint decision of the jurors comprising of 50 North American automotive journalists who analyzed each of the new cars that was released last year and selected 2012 Hyundai Elantra as the winner of the title. The jurors compared more than 50 new automobiles before affirming the Elantra as the winner.

The prize was declared at a news convention at the 2012 North American Auto Show in Detroit. This is the second prize for Hyundai. Earlier, the automaker’s Genesis was named North American Car of the year in 2009.

“Elantra speaks to the success of our recipe of bold design and great fuel economy,” says John Krafcik, president and chief executive officer, Hyundai Motor America. “In a year with some truly breakthrough competitors, we are honored that the jury recognizes Elantra’s far-reaching impact on the industry.”

The new 2012 Elantra is developed on Hyundai’s latest style concept “Fluidic Sculpture”. The muscular wheel arches and a sleek roofline of the Elantra will certainly take your breath away. Plus, the spacious interior makes your riding experience even more pleasurable. Hyundai’s trademark hexagonal front side grille and specific swept-back front side signals give Elantra a stream-lined running face. The powerful position is accented by 15-, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels and athletic proportions. Available fog signals and side repeater mirror showcases complete “Fluidic style”. Elantra was developed at Hyundai's North American Design eEnter in Irvine, Calif.

Under the hood, the Elantra is operated by an all-new 1.8-liter Nu four-cylinder engine with 148 power and 131 lb-ft of torque. Elantra’s 40 mpg (highway) is much appreciated among car enthusiasts especially in present situation of sky rocketing gasoline price. Elantra’s strong EPA ratings are backed up by the highest owner satisfaction with real-world fuel economy in the compact class, according to data from J.D. Power and Associates.

The 2012 Hyundai Veloster - The Ultimate Car for the "Tween" Years

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

What are mothers saying about the Veloster?

“This car is perfect for that younger, 1st time car buying crowd, but you’re right, it will take you right into mother…or father…hood. It seems like a sweet combo of stylish and sensible and is taking the place of the Tiburon who we miss dearly. Can’t WAIT to test drive it and stream Pandora!”

“The 4th door was chosen to be removed because it allowed gas mileage to increase as a result. 40 mpg hwy isnt anything to sneeze at..combination of losing that door and Hyundai manufacturing their own steal makes this car a win-win. I have an 18 month old daughter and this is just what my husband and I are looking for! Affordable, techy, hatch, sporty and yet still family friendly!”

It’s not a full-size family car, but it boasts even a body structure that adds a considerable safety measure in letting kids exit the car only on the safe side of the street. It’s a mix of coupe, hatchback and sedan with functional cargo space – perfectly suited for first-time buyers and those in the process of establishing their lives, careers and social networks. The Veloster is Hyundai’s newest way of providing a car as versatile and dynamic as your life itself.

Completely affordable with a starting price of around $17,300, no appealing features were spared; with Hyundai’s new BlueLink multimedia system, you can send and receive text messages, update your Facebook and post Tweets by voice command. Whether you’re still in your gaming years or you’re the parent of a gamer, rest assured that you can play your xBox 360 or PS3 right in the car. In the event of an emergency, simply press the SOS button and specially trained response specialists will receive your car’s information and location, and the appropriate emergency services will arrive.

What features will make this highly-active part of your life easier?
1) unlock your car via satellite if your keys are inside the car
2) call for roadside assistance with push of a button
3) navigation by voice commands
4) stolen vehicle recovery system
5) favorite restaurant listing, movies, weather, and many more – all with voice command
6) ability to play movies, videos, music, mp3s on the 7” standard touch screen
7) start your car remotely by smartphone app, by dialing an exclusive toll-free phone number or even from your own exclusive Hyundai Owner's website!!

2011 Hyundai Elantra: Same price, all-new value

Thursday, March 17, 2011

In the cut-throat compact car segment in Canada and North America, the all-new 2011 Hyundai Elantra is about to take the title and challenge other segments. Its upgraded trim quality and features now include:

• Push-button start
• In-dash, touch-screen navigation system
• Rearview camera
• Bluetooth hands-free phone system
• iPod and USB inputs
• Automatic headlights
• Leather seating
…and that’s just in the base model. Opt for a GL or higher trim and get heated rear seats, power sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels and fog lights, just to name a few bells and whistles.

What really sets the new 2011 Elantra apart from its predecessors is its “Fluidic Sculpture,” an effort by Hyundai to make the vehicle as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional. It’s a little longer and a little lower, with countless lines designed to come together beautifully. Don’t be fooled by the fluid lines; it has more interior room than ever, not to mention the “Nu” engine that provides better fuel economy – 18% to be exact. The “Nu” engine is a 1.8-liter that’s paired with your choice of a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Yes, it’s tough too. Its rigid structure provides for a solid feel and impressive power for any car in its class, but that’s nothing new with the Elantra. Another value package that isn’t news is what you’ll get at Rick Case Hyundai… from the 20,000-mile, 20-year warranty to the 5 years of 24/7 roadside service, the Rick Case Rewards membership and the Hyundai Assurance Program, there simply isn’t a better value than a Hyundai from Rick Case. Don’t miss the $500 coupon on the homepage! Serious about quality on a budget? Cruise our certified pre-owned Hyundais for the best inventory from Elyria to Cleveland.

Save Money on Maintenance Before You Even Hit the Road!

Monday, January 24, 2011

Knowing a vehicle's cost over time can save you thousands in the long haul. Rick Case Hyundai, a leading Hyundai dealer in Cleveland, Ohio has some great tips on how to plan a long, inexpensive maintenance relationship with your car.

Nowadays it is cheaper to maintain cars and trucks, as they are better built and designed for easier maintenance. If you did a standard maintenance cost comparison with the older models, you would see that the newer models no longer have some parts that require regular tune-up or replacement, such as condensers, carburetors and points. Today's coolants, belts and hoses have a longer lifespan too, some up to 10 years. Besides this, sophisticated systems also monitor vehicle performance. So, if a problem like an oil leak arises, it can be identified and remedied before it leads to a big problem, like a seized engine.

Basic upkeep – such as the routine oil and filter change - is no longer required every 3,000 miles. The fact is that most new vehicles can now drive 7,500 to 10,000 miles between oil changes, cutting oil bills in half. For those who are looking forward to cut oil-change costs altogether, there’s more good news. Numerous dealers are conducting free periodic maintenance with new-car purchases, including oil, tire rotation, replacement brake linings, wiper blades and fluid checkups, so your choice of dealership can have a big impact on maintenance costs down the road.

Rick Case dealerships are a perfect example. Every new Hyundai purchase comes with a 20-year, 200,000-mile warranty, 5 years of 24-hour roadside service, and even free membership in the Rick Case Rewards Program, which means every time you pull in for service, you’re racking up reward points that turn into discounts on your next service or purchase. Add to that Hyundai’s Assurance Program, and you won’t find a better value package anywhere!
Alternatively, you can also follow some simple tips:

•Don’t always rely on dashboard alerts for oil and tire pressure readings… sensors can malfunction too! Periodically remove the dipstick to check the oil level yourself.
•Keep jumper cables in your trunk to save on costly and time-consuming tow truck services, especially in winter. Newer jumper cables can even work from one car’s cigarette lighter to another, so you never even have to lift the hood!
•Hire the experts when in doubt. Today's onboard electronic systems require specific diagnostic tools usually found only at a dealer's service center. These inspection stations use scan tools to perform the required on-board diagnostic system check.
•Watch out for recalls. You can check your auto manufacturer's website every month, or edmunds.com, which lists recalls for every make and model.
•Proper service makes any vehicle work better, last longer and hold its value. By keeping your car in great shape, you can keep rolling. It will also pay you back when it's time to trade it in later.

Visit Rick Case Hyundai to drive around Cleveland with more peace of mind than you’ll find anywhere else. Select your new or used car from the vast new vehicle inventory and used cars lot. Drive home the Hyundai car of your choice with a special offer!

Rick Case Makes a Difference Again with Hyundai Hope on Wheels

Monday, December 6, 2010

The Rick Case Automotive Group is proud to again participate in the Hyundai Hope on Wheels 2010 Tour, Hyundai’s initiative in the fight against childhood cancer. The initiative is aimed at donating funds for research projects and to support meaningful steps undertaken by doctors, nurses, social workers, child life specialists and other professionals who work with children with cancer. The Rick Case Hyundai dealerships have participated in this noble endeavor this year and every year before, for well over a decade now. Each year, in each region during the month of September, Hyundai Hope on Wheels gives grants in the amount of $100,000 each to organizations across the country, funded by a portion of every Hyundai sale the month before.

This year, the two Rick Case Hyundai dealerships near Cleveland are again proud to be contributors. “The brave young children at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital inspire us every day,” said Rita and Rick Case. “Early detection with neuropsychological testing is vital and we are delighted that the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Hope Grant will make a positive and direct impact in their lives.”

It’s no surprise that the Rick Case Automotive Group is a proud participant, as it is one family owned and operated organization that understands the value, even in business, of giving back so much in opportunities like these… Rick Case believes that your business is only as strong as the community around it, so it is important to support local residents and children, especially in their time of need.
